What is the Center for Leadership?
In times like these, leadership is an important tool that can be used to help you gain the upper hand in any situation, the trick is finding ways that can help you nurture this strength. That’s where the Center for Leadership comes in! The CFL is an organization that specializes in the development of leadership skills through a variety of opportunities. like LeaderShape, Intersect, Leadership Fellows, and Phoenix Leaders!

Find ADVENTURES IN LEADERSHIP
Do you enjoy the outdoors? Does kayaking, hiking and mountain-biking sound like the best time? Then why not check out what Adventures in Leadership has to offer! AIL is a great way for first-years to not only make friendships before transitioning on-campus but is also an opportunity for first-years to dip their toe in the vast pond of leadership. The skills and friendships created in AIL are long-lasting and unforgettable!
Spread Your Wings with PHOENIX LEADERS!
If you're looking for ways to collaborate and connect with others to strengthen your valuable leadership skills then think about taking flight and soaring high with the Phoenix Leaders! The Phoenix Leaders has been a great way for freshman and upperclassmen alike to get engaged and put their leadership skills to the test. The Phoenix Leaders often engage in workshops that highlight the best qualities in everyone.

Inspire, Innovate, INTERSECT
Intersect: Diversity & Leadership Conference is a program made so future Elon leaders can meet specialists or other Elon undergraduates and learn from their operations involving discussions of diversity, ethics and leadership! Intersect provides a look at the disciplines of diversity, leadership, and the cross-sections of the two. You can join in on dialogue and reflect through the experiences and words of keynote speakers. The conference is specifically structured to inspire students to create positive change for the common good in their organizations and communities.

EV, GLC & CREDE, Oh My!
The Center for Leadership isn't the only place where you can flex your leadership muscle. Perhaps you're passionate about spreading equality among genders, sexualities and diverse cultures.
The Kernodle Center offers you the leadership opportunity of a lifetime through Elon Volunteers, a organization that helps students on campus get involved in the community through volunteer service! In the past, the Kernodle Center has aided in building development off-campus and Elon students were at the heart of it all - and so can you! If you're interested in checking out how to act locally today, then perhaps you should join the Elon Volunteers!
If equity, diversity and inclusivity are just three of your favorite words, then you'll enjoy spending time in the CREDE and the GLC in Moseley. The CREDE is the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education and focuses on strengthening minority groups on campus while educating and encouraging the majority to stand up for equity and equality. The CREDE also is the home of ALANAM the African American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan Native and Multiracial communities.
The GLC is the Gender and LGBTQIA Center that focuses on helping others express themselves in a safe space and allowing them to love themselves and others for who they are not what they identify as via support, advocacy and education. The GLC honors the 3 V's: validation in identities, value in contributions and what one will become, and victory in the social and academic life at Elon.
Through the EV, CREDE and the GLC, you can engage in events and utilize resources that will help you show off your inner activist!

Do you enjoy the outdoors? Does soaking up some sun, exercising and breathing in fresh air sound like the best way to develop your leadership skills? Then why not check out what Elon Outdoors has to offer! Elon Outdoors not only allows for the development of tight bonds but it also helps Elon students to dip their toe in the vast pond of leadership through fun outdoor activities like kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding! The skills and friendships created in Elon Outdoors are long-lasting and unforgettable!
