Leading with Appreciation

On November 1 at 10:30am in the Moseley Center, the Center for Leadership hosted its Leading with Appreciation event to give everyone on campus a chance to express their gratitude for all of the amazing leaders within the Elon University community. The heartwarming event gave both students and faculty the chance to shout out leaders on campus who have positively impacted them through personalized notes.

Hundreds of people flocked to the whiteboards set up downstairs in the Moseley Center to write the names of impactful leaders they know on campus, and accompanied them with notes of appreciation for the CFL to deliver. At the end of the event there were over one hundred names of various students, professors, and staff members written on the whiteboards from those who expressed their thanks for their leadership. Using the names written on the whiteboard, the CFL sent out individual emails to thank those who were mentioned on the whiteboard for their wonderful leadership.

The Center for Leadership absolutely loved getting to see all of the admiration students, staff, and faculty have for their campus leaders. This event was just one way the CFL wanted to show appreciation for Elon’s leaders, but it doesn’t have to stop there. Leaders around us make such a large impact on our lives, so make sure you tell them how much they mean to you when you see them!
